Covid-19 Travel Advice

As Teesside International Airport is ready to welcome holiday passengers through its doors once again, we want you to feel safe – and help to keep each other safe – as you travel through our terminal to your destination.

Here you will find information and useful links on the measures we have put in place at the airport, as well as requirements for travel.

Before You Travel/Book a Test:

Depending on where you are travelling to you may need to show proof of vaccination status via the NHS Covid Pass or proof of a negative Covid-19 test. You cannot use an NHS test for this but you can book a PCR test here. Check the Government’s Foreign Travel Advice website.

Returning to the UK: The requirements when returning to the UK will depend on your vaccination status and where you have been. Depending on these, you may need to take a Covid-19 test before travel to England, book a Covid-19 test to take after you return and/or make arrangements for quarantine. For more information, check the Government’s website here.

A passenger Covid-19 testing facility is operational at Teesside Airport, administered by Recovery4Life, a local specialist testing, training and treatment service. To book a test, click here.

Clean your hands at the sanitiser stations provided.
While inside the terminal face coverings must be worn at all times, unless you are sitting down at a table for food and drink. If you do not have a face covering, you can collect one on arrival at the airport
Check in at one of our socially distanced desks or, if you don’t have hold luggage, check in online
Minimise what you carry to help us avoid hand searches during security checks to assist with social distancing
Sit one metre or more apart from passengers outside of your party in the departure lounge and pay attention to floor markings which encourage social distancing
Ensure you are wearing your mask when you board your flight.

Please note: If you are exempt from wearing a face covering, you will need to provide a medical certificate as evidence before departure, we recommend you contact your airline for further information on their guidelines.
