Teesside Airport Charity Partnership

Teesside Airport has partnered with three amazing local charities, Alice House Hospice, the Great North Air Ambulance Service and the MFC Foundation.

The aim of the partnership is to support the charities’ own fundraising initiatives, as well as see the airport develop a year-long calendar of events which will include corporate engagements, terminal fundraising and other cross-partnership opportunities.

One of the additional ways the airport helps is by providing unwanted foreign currency ‘bins’ where travellers can drop off their leftover foreign currency which is then collected and exchanged into pounds sterling to be donated equally to the charities.

Alice House Hospice is the only adult hospice in Hartlepool and works to ensure people affected by a life-limiting illness or the death of a loved one have the care, comfort and support they need.

The Great North Air Ambulance service provides air ambulance services and rapid response cars across the region to help save lives and works with the NHS and other emergency services in response to major incidents.

MFC Foundation works in association with Middlesbrough Football Club across some of the most disadvantaged areas of Teesside to raise aspirations and improve the life chances of young people and adults by delivering sport, education, health and inclusion projects.

If you would like to donate to the charity partnership, you can do this via the Just Giving website here.
